Reliable Quality You Can Trust
The Nike Air Max 97 DB was originally released in December 2018 as part of the brand's annual Doernbecher Freestyle collection to benefit the OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon. It was designed by 16-year old Kirsten Brown. A black mesh and textured leather upper features translucent overlays. "SRVVR" is written in large purple lettering on each side panel. "Survivor" is also written in teal on each heel tab. Other special markings that allude to Brown surviving heart transplant surgery include green and red ribbons on each outsole to represent heart transplant and stroke awareness, the date of her surgery, and EKG readings on the insoles.
