The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 “Far Out” is yet another creative look for the retro performance running shoe co-designed by the Boston area boutique and Nike that celebrates the shoe’s 35th anniversary, as well as 1960s and 1970s hippie culture. Concepts and Nike came together on three occasions in March 2022 to honor the Air Max 1s legacy, and its collaborative efforts produced some of the year’s most intriguing colorways. The “Far Out” salutes the colorful vibrations of music festivals from back in the day with its array of mismatched panels in paisley print, denim, and more. Specifically, a light blue denim material appears on the toe and quarter panel while a vibrant purple paisley textile graces the mudguard. Additional paisley is found in lime green on the heel. A cow print appears on the midfoot. The Swoosh on the lateral side is designed in a striped pattern and the Swoosh on the medial side is decorated with flowers. A co-branded Concepts and Nike guitar pick hang tag completes the look. Release date: March 26, 2022
